Looking to the future of cancer care and our ability to meet the needs of our community, Kettering Health Network has spent the past five years planning for a state-of-the-art Cancer Center to provide comprehensive, holistic, patient-centered care.
Our planning committee has engaged hundreds of physicians, nurses, administrators, patients, and community members in the process, and has visited top-tier cancer centers across the country.
The new center will allow our physicians and caregivers to provide top-quality care close to home for patients and their families.
In addition to providing the highest level of care for our patients and their families, establishing this Cancer Center will increase access to screening and diagnostic tests, including a Kettering Breast Evaluation Center presence. Early diagnosis leads to better outcomes.
As the keystone of the Kettering cancer network, the center will offer state-of-the-art, cancer-fighting technology for virtually any form of cancer, support a new culture of cancer care focused on a collaborative, inter-professional care model designed to inspire both patients and staff, and exceed patient expectations.
This 70,000-square-foot facility will serve as an interdisciplinary home for advanced treatment and complementary medicine, supporting patients, their families, and physicians. It will shorten timelines for screening, diagnosis, and treatment, enhancing the excellent care that we are able to provide.
The new Cancer Center at Kettering Medical Center will serve as a regional destination for care, offering all the resources, technology, collaborative expertise, and support services needed to treat cancer and provide an environment of care and healing that will treat the whole patient-mind, body, and spirit.
